This standard covers the straight rubber hoses without metal fittings (hereinafter referred to as 'hoses') used mainly with Engine oils, ATF and turbine oils at pressures not higher than 1.0 MPa.

Remarks 1 About hose other than straight rubber hose Bent hoses, hoses with more-than-one diameters or hoses with metal fittings shall be assigned as general parts and their drawings shall be individually prepared. When classification of this standard is described in that drawing, basic requirements such as rubber material, hose performance, hose inner and outer diameters, etc. must conform to this standard.

Remarks 2 On the performance of bent hose The performance of a bent hose, which is different only in bending and length, and whose material, molding method, and inner and outer diameter dimensions are the same, clarify the worst specification and evaluate it with the worst specification parts. To determine the worst specifications, the evaluator must obtain the consent of the design department in charge. The evaluation result of the straight hose can be not used as the performance of the bent hose.
